The first diamonds from the fabulously rich Kimberley
mine in South Africa were thought to be just “pretty
stones” – children’s toys. One of these
was given away by their mother who thought it would be wrong to take
money for such a worthless thing. After being laughed at by
everyone, the stone was finally proven to be a 21 carat diamond, worth,
in 1867, £500. A fortune.
How could people have been so blind, we
wonder today?
But most people
refused to believe that one of the richest diamond mines in the world
lay beneath the stony veld of the Northern Cape. It was “as
though it was too much to expect
that from a spot so insignificant
as this corner of the Orange and Vaal Rivers should be found a rival to
the time-honoured glories of Brazil and India. It was too
good to believe, ... or to some perhaps too bad,
... that there should suddenly come a plethora of diamonds from among
the Hottentots.” (Modern History

They still wouldn’t believe it.
“Nothing great was done nor did the belief
prevail that South Africa was a country richer in
precious stones than any other region yet
discovered.”
A year or so later, another stone was bought from a
witch-doctor. It weighed 83 carats, “and is said to be
perfect in all its appointments as to water, shape, and whiteness. It
became known among diamonds and was christened the
"Star of South Africa." An incredibly famous
diamond to this day.
* If the diamond
had been found where people were expecting
to find diamonds, where they believed
they would find diamonds, it would have been recognized and valued
immediately.
* Had the people
there felt more self-worth, they might have realized the truth, trusted
in their own judgement, and not given the
diamond away.
* Only those who
did not listen to the crowd saw it for what it
was – a great treasure.
AND
YOU KNOW WHAT? IT’S STILL LIKE THAT!
And you could
have diamonds under your feet and never know it!
I
am going to show you how you may be doing the same thing with property!
By
taking a closer look at what’s beneath your feet, you may
find, as I did the other day, that there are diamonds where you thought
there was nothing but stones and gravel.
Diamonds
are nothing but carbon, it’s just what you DO to it that
makes it a diamond, not a lump of coal. The temperature, the pressure,
the depth must be right. If conditions change, they could melt,
dissolve, or turn into coal.
What about the
other scenario? What if your diamond is a piece of coal?
Don’t
worry! You can turn it around very, very quickly! Your money is tied up
in your investment.
That investment
must grow to give you financial freedom and wealth. Only YOU can make
